We all eagerly await for our diamond painting kits to arrive in the mail for what sometimes seems like an eternity and a day! But before you rip open your package and start placing those little diamonds on your canvas, there are a few things that you should do right away to ensure that your diamond painting experience is top notch. Also, if there are any issues with your kit you’ll want to make sure that you can get them corrected immediately.
Here is your checklist for your diamond painting kit arrival:
Be sure not to immediately throw away your external packaging along with your invoice/receipt. In the event that there is an issue with your diamond painting kit, the store’s/website’s customer support team from which your ordered may need it as a reference for order verification purposes. Other important information such as your tracking number and order number will be on/in the package which you might need as well.
There is nothing worse than starting your diamond painting masterpiece only to realize that your canvas is defective, damaged or otherwise not in good order. Make sure you thoroughly check both sides of your canvas to ensure that it is suitable to begin your diamond painting.
*Pro Tip: Only pull back the portion of the protective covering on the area of the canvas that you are working on. Don’t remove the entire cover at once.
Check that list twice! Make sure you get your inventory sheet and do an audit to ensure that all of your beads/diamonds are present. Be sure that you have all of the required colors and the correct number of each. There is nothing worse than getting to the end of your project only to realize that you are missing some diamonds; and now having to wait for replacements to finish. So do yourself a favor and check right away because if your kit shipped from overseas, the replacements could take up to 2-3 weeks arrive.
Don’t forget to check your tools and make sure that they’re all accounted for and in good working order. It’s a little difficult to finish your diamond painting project if you don’t have all of the tools that you need…

No worries, your diamond painting supplier should have friendly and helpful customer support that will get this fixed for you right away (if not, you may want to consider ordering from somewhere else).
One of the most common “issues” with a diamond painting order is that some beads/diamonds are missing. Most diamond painting stores will simply ask your for: your order number, what color(s) you are missing (square or round drill), and how many that you need. All of this information can be found on your color inventory sheet.
While they are much less common, there are other issues that can occur. They can include a damaged or defective canvas or tools, oily beads or ones that are stuck together, or simply the wrong design or something different than what you ordered. Just be sure to save your invoice and reach out to the store’s customer service as soon as possible. These are issues are always made right (FREE OF CHARGE) so make sure that you are using suppliers that do the right thing if you have a problem!
