Happy Chinese New Year! Learn How This Holiday Impacts Your Diamond Painting Orders…

As a celebration of their hard work all year long, most of China shuts down during Chinese New Year for at least 2 entire weeks – it’s sort of like taking a 2-week vacation at work and looking forward to it excitedly all year long. Except many Chinese workers don’t even take weekends off during the year! Can you imagine? This is why the entire country goes dark every year from around January 18th to February 10th. This includes (you guessed it!) diamond painting suppliers and warehouses, most of which are located in China.

Have you ever seen a message similar to this one on a diamond painting store website?

“**Due to the Chinese New Year, orders may be delayed in shipping by 1-2 weeks. Orders placed after 1/18 may take between 6-8 total weeks for delivery. When shipping resumes on 2/10, orders will be sent out in the order in which they were received. We’re so sorry for the inconvenience.**”

Many diamond painting shops go to great lengths to find a supplier/manufacturing partner that’s not only ethical in their treatment of workers, but reliable when it comes to shipping. Many workers at diamond painting manufacturing and distribution factories are some of the hardest-working people you’ll ever see. In fact, in China it’s customary to work constantly – 7 days per week – to deliver quality products across the world…and that’s exactly what they do!

Unfortunately, this means that any orders placed from a supplier or warehouse located in China during this period (Chinese New Year) will take a bit longer to get sent out and delivered to you. So if you place and order during Chinese New Year, expect it to ship out after their break and for it to take some time for it to arrive.

It’s difficult to imagine working as hard as our Chinese friends do. Think about working 7 days per week, 24 hours per day, with just one little 2 week break per year. It’s truly remarkable. While it’s very unfortunate that shipping can be paused for so long, it’s important to understand that everyone needs a rest at some point, right? During those two weeks, many Chinese workers will go back to their hometowns, spend some much-needed quality time with their families and friends, and just enjoy a bit of relaxation that it well deserved and earned.

So with all of that said, it is certain that the workers are very sorry for the inconvenience that this causes. However, they definitely work extra, double time when work resumes to get your diamond panting packages out as soon as possible.

But I Want My Diamond Painting Kits NOW!

This is certainly understandable. Not many of us want to take an extended break from our favorite hobby. You need to get your diamond paintings immediately sometimes.
